The Final Quarter of 2017 Was Exciting for LNG Shipping
LNG exports increased strongly near year-end, which lifted short-term charter rates for LNG vessels to the highest level in almost 4 years. This was partly driven by growing LNG demand in China, which has started shifting millions of homes and businesses from coal to gas fired heating. Growth in 2018 should remain strong, with global LNG exports increasing by the fastest rate since the ramp-up of Qatar’s mega trains back in 2010. Find out more in the latest gas market video:
