Offered for sale at the St. Louis Car Museum is a two-owner 1989 Honda Gold Wing GL1500 Trike finished in Burgundy Metallic that is highly complemented by a Gold accessory trim. Power comes from a 1520cc Horizontal 6 cylinder and 5-speed transmission with reverse. This available Honda Trike has options that include an AM/FM/Cassette radio, integrated intercom system, luggage rack, locking rear storage box and lower trunk compartment, full size touring windshield, heater, rear seat armrests with cup holder, Drag Specialist Wind Leader driver folding backrest, trailer hitch, decorative wheel lights, along with diamond flash rear brake lamps and optional pulse-style front headlamp for added safety.
This stand-out example sold new to its original owner in Brentwood, TN and stayed in his possession until April 1992. It would then trade hands with its only other owner since! In the summer of 1997, this owner elected to convert his 2-wheel Tourer into a full Trike. He delivered his Gold Wing to Honda of Jefferson City, MO for the build utilizing the popular California Side Car kit. This system uses a rear solid axle with 14” aluminum wheels, and adds a large storage area for extra gear. The anodized gold trim accentuated the motorcycle very well and today, the Gold Wing has only 59,814 miles on the odometer!
This beautiful Honda Trike will come with original Honda owner's manuals, factory Gold Wing tools, receiver hitch, two flag poles, storage cover, and some extra components provided by the previous owner. It continues to run and drive wonderfully and should make for a faithful touring motorcycle to the new lucky owner! With very few miles on the odometer, it has many more years of service to provide.
