About the Jaguar XJ-Series:
The Jaguar XJ-Series was their flagship model beginning in 1970with the first generation carrying through 1992. In 1973 theXJ-Series model would receive generational styling changes, as wellas, in 1979. This final Series 3 design would embody subtle stylingimprovements by Pininfarina to include a revised roofline andthinner door pillars allowing a new, one-piece front door glassaiding in extra visibility, along with recessed door handles,vertical grill bars, and relocated reverse lights into the lowertaillight assemblies. Jaguar's new stellar design on the XJ-Serieswould become an icon for the manufacturer. The eye-catching luxurymodel continues to be one of the most recognizable generations ofall time! We are proud to offer for sale a one-owner 1986 Jaguar XJ6 VandenPlas Sedan that is beautifully finished in it's all original Blackexterior over a highly complementary and factory Doeskin TanLeather interior! This well-kept 80's Jaguar was purchased new froma Jaguar dealer in New York as a gift to a mother by her son inearly 1987. He was a successful Wall Street executive and knew hismother had always loved Jaguar cars! What he didn't know was thatshe had already ordered a new 1987 XJ-S V12 Coupe for herself justmonths before from a local St. Louis Jaguar dealer. She elected tomaintain both of her cherished XJ cars exquisitely, alwaysservicing them regularly, by Jaguar specialists only. The twomodels were then parked in a heated, basement garage, where theywere kept since new. Since then this example has traveled only33,016 miles from new, and remains in excellent shapethroughout!
