Exceptional, all original Fairlane Victoria with factory paint and interior upholstery! A true time capsule with only 55,154 miles on the odometer! Nicely equipped with 312 Thunderbird V8, automatic transmission, dual outside mirrors, Town & Country radio, all Ford Lifeguard safety options, and more! A very special addition to any collection!
Building upon the success of the 1954 Ford and its newly introduced Y-Block V8, the 1955 Fairlane model series was introduced with styling that was meant to compete with the equally new 1955 Chevrolets. Offered in multiple body styles, with three different engines, two different roof choices, three trim levels and a myriad of options, the car proved to be very successful and accounted for 45% of 1955 Ford production. By 1956, the Ford Fairlane's distinctive styling was similar to the elegance of the sporty Thunderbird. Lots of chrome, inviting interiors, and great colors to choose from!
We are very excited to present this 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria “Open-Air” Hardtop. Finished in its original color scheme of Raven Black and interior finished in an equally attractive shade of White & Black luxury vinyl! It is powered by its original 312ci V8 engine, Ford-O-Matic automatic transmission, and highway worthy 3.22:1 rear axle ratio. This Long Beach, CA built car was ordered with all the available safety options to include dual fender-mounted rearview mirrors, tinted window glass, reverse lights, See-Clear windshield washer, under hood service light, seat belts, and Lifeguard padded dash & sun visors. Other features include Magic-Aire heater/defrost, 7.10x15 Firestone Deluxe Champion wide whitewall tires, wire spoke wheel covers, fender skirts with stainless rock shields, Ford special oil bath air cleaner, and Town & Country signal-seeking AM pushbutton radio!
Like our 1959 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer Hardtop we have offered for sale, this remarkable 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria came from the same Ontario collection once donated to the Canadian Transportation Museum & Heritage Center based in Kingsville, Ontario, Canada. Although, this one has never been restored, just perfectly maintained and garage kept over the years! The paint and chrome have aged gracefully, with only the mildest signs of being driven at all! Inside, the interior shows that the Lifeguard padded foam components have deteriorated some, but the vast majority of the upholstery, carpet, headliner, dash trim and knobs continue to show rather wonderfully! The engine compartment appears as it would in 1956 and was recently detailed, while the undercarriage appears as if it never saw a day in the rain! The car now shows only 55,154 original miles and continues to run and drive great, ready for local or regional shows alike! We would be more than happy to answer any additional questions you may have on this gorgeous Fairlane Victoria! Thanks for looking!
