CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - A handful of panelists from different areas of expertise across Wyoming. Each of them shared their reactions to a study done by WYDOT and the Wyoming Airports Coalition.

Josh Dorrell, the Wyoming Business Council CEO, said he often runs into the topic of reliable aviation when he is recruiting businesses to come to Wyoming. “It matters a lot and makes a big difference for all of the businesses in Wyoming and those looking at it,” Dorrell said. “It’s great to see the improvements in the investments being made in this report.”

The aviation industry in Wyoming helps the tourism industry. Diane Shober, the executive director for the Wyoming Tourism office, said people that fly here are more likely to spend more time here.

“From large leisure travel markets like Jackson Hole and other airports across Wyoming. Getting those visitors into our state and sped time here is great whether it’s business or recreation,” Shober said.

Mike Wandler, the president of L&H Industrial, said this industry helped him expand his business. “Almost 100 percent of our sales were local to Campbell County and now there’s only 7 percent that is in the state and the rest is national or international,” Wandler said.

Wandler adds he hopes to see more businesses make their headquarters in Wyoming.
