Template Showdown: Builder vs. Ready-Made vs. Custom-Made 🥊 Email templates come in three flavors: 1. Builders (drag-and-drop editors) 2. Ready-made templates 3. Custom-made designs Let's compare: 💡 Builders (like MailChimp) PROS: - Cost-effective - DIY friendly - Device compatible - Fast creation CONS: - Limited customisation - Generic appearance - Little to no support for free accounts Best advice here: keep your layout simple. We’re talking about single columns or predictable responsive behaviour (which doesn’t always order things on mobile in the way you intended) 💡 Ready-Made Templates PROS: - Budget-friendly - Pre-designed - Render tested - Diverse selection - Quick creation CONS: - Limited customisation - Tricky code adjustments - Potential device compatibility issues - Designer needed for content & images - Might not work on your ESP This option is great if you have an experienced email developer on your team who will populate your template with text and images. 💡 Custom-Made Templates PROS: - Unique and on-brand - Highly customisable - Device compatible CONS: - Higher cost - More skills required - Can have a longer turnaround time Here you work with a team of experienced marketers, designers and coders to design and develop a template which fits your campaign or newsletter requirements exactly. The best option depends on your budget and marketing needs. What's your go-to choice for email templates? Share your preference in the comments! 💌 #emailmarketing #emailnewsletters #emailtemplates

I use a drag and drop builder, with custom coded sections within Hubspot. It allows me to use some pre-built formatting conditions for responsiveness and device support, and then add in the touch of customization in the sections that need it.

For me it will always be custom-made because I like the challenge and the fact that it is highly customisable so it will be 100% on brand 😎
